How fast do you actually reply?
Email read within hours during business days. Reply usually within 24 to 48 hours. Sometimes faster, occasionally a bit slower if I am deep in a project. If you have not heard back in 72 hours, send a follow-up. The first email may have hit my spam.
Do you take projects from anywhere or just California?
Most of my work is remote. Clients all over California, plus clients across the country I have never met face to face. The shop is in Modesto. Email, phone, and text have handled it for twenty years and counting.
Do you offer free consultations?
The first call is free. Twenty to forty minutes to figure out what you actually need and whether we are a good fit. After that, design and discovery work is billable. The first call exists to determine whether to even have a second conversation, not to deliver free strategy.
Will you sign an NDA before I describe my project?
Yes if the project warrants it. Most do not need one. The default is that everything we discuss is confidential whether there is a paper agreement or not. If your project genuinely needs an NDA, send your standard one over and I will review it.
What if my project is not on the quick-start list?
Use "Something else" and describe what you are thinking about. The quick-start cards cover the most common project types but not everything. Custom situations are normal.
Do you charge for the first call?
No. The first call is free. After that, design or strategy work is billable per scoped agreement.
Can I just call or text without sending an email first?
Existing clients, yes. New inquiries, please start with email. The first email gives me context so when we do connect I am not starting from zero. It also lets me decide whether your project is a fit before pulling time on both sides.
What hours do you work?
Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 9 to 6 Pacific. Some evening and weekend work happens during active projects. Hosting clients on the Pro tier have access to 24/7 priority support for genuine emergencies.
